Had a girls night out last night and i wore brand new high heels. With in an hour my tights and feet were rubbing every time i moved. I eventually hobbled all the way back home and today at work i wore flats but i was still so sore, i can barely move, there%26#039;s no skin on my soul pads and friction burns on my heels. Even sport shoes hurt and i cant wear slippers to work. Any ideas? apart from crawling on my hands and knees
I wore poor fitting shoes last night and my feet are in agony!?
Why don%26#039;t you go to your nearest Sally%26#039;s and grab a pouch of %26quot;Foot Therapy%26quot;? (I provide a link) Pour it in warm water. Alright so it says that it%26#039;s for calluses, trust me, it works precisely because of that. Leave your feet there for a while, maybe 15 minutes and when you take %26#039;em out you%26#039;ll feel the difference. I%26#039;ve used it when my feet have been under a lot of stress during the day.
During the waiting process maybe you could light up some incense, you know, do your girl thing! If you like wine, drink some wine, maybe light up a candle...create an ambiance that%26#039;s calm.
Afterwards treat your heel burns. Maybe you could use a strategically placed gauze on the affected area inside the shoe. Go to your nearest pharmacy and grab some cloth tape to use with the gauze (it%26#039;ll hurt so much less than regular tape) Wrap it in a long but slightly thick way. Use sandals while at home.
I hope you feel better!!
Reply:Take a sick day. And don%26#039;t do that again.
Just curious, but why do you ladies torture yourselves like that anyway?
Reply:Do you have on socks/hose with your shoes today? That would prevent the rubbing.
Reply:Just wear shoes roomy enough to give your feet a rest. And put the new heels in the Goodwill bin.
Reply:Aside from treating your current %26quot;achings%26quot;, you might need to invest in some decent shoes. I have had trouble with my feet for years and I have found some GREAT shoes (and they are a 120-day return policy) at Footsmart.com. Softspots and Naturalizers are great. I have several brands from them, and have exchanged and returned several pair until I found shoes that worked. For high heels they also have items that help make them more comfortable... get a catalog and check it out!
Reply:Apply some neosporin with pain reliever (or other antibacterial cream that contains pain reliever), a couple of band-aids (only while you%26#039;re wearing your shoes though...take them off if you%26#039;re not wearing the shoes) or some other bandage that might cushion the sore spots. Other than that, the only advice I can offer is never wear brand new high heels for more than a few minutes at a time until they%26#039;re broken in. Put them on a stretcher for 24 hours or more. Good Luck.
Reply:Usually when that happens to me I wear band-aids and stockings between my feet and my shoes and it takes a lot of the pain away.
Reply:Oh no - poor you!!! Don%26#039;t start rubbing foot creams into your feet, they could get infected. Get a bowl and fill in with cold water and ice cubes and soak your feet to reduce swelling and to try and bring the pain down a bit, when you can stand it - put a tiny bit of Dettol antiseptic in the water to kill any bacteria. Using hot water will make your feet swell and believe me - you don%26#039;t want that! Try and soak your feet in the morning and evening and pat dry gently with a towel.
To protect your feet, it may be a good idea to buy some tubular bandage and put them on your feet if you have to go to work, this will protect the area that is healing, but you must either wash the bandage or put a new one on every day or you will get cross infection from bacteria.
AND THROW THOSE SHOES AWAY!!!
Reply:hmmmmmmmm
and why are you wondering about that?
Reply:don%26#039;t were those shoes anymore they don%26#039;t fit you take your slippers to the office and change when you get there.tell your boss your feet hurt there is something wrong with them.
Reply:thats why there are so many pairs of shoes chucked on the street after a saturday night.. the owners chuck them walking home.. as they go £10. oh well
better to spend money on decent well fitting shoes and to also break them in.. by wearing them around for 1 or 2 hours at a time.
you have to be careful you don%26#039;t get fallen arches..
if you drive, well have a pair of trainers in the car. or put them in the cloak room with you when u go out. yer u might look stupid, but at least you won%26#039;t mash up ya feet.
you kinda gave it away when u said %26quot;brand new%26quot;.. shoes need to be broken in , and they don%26#039;t sound expensive OR well fitting.. you need decent shoes that fit and support your foot.
Reply:Three pairs of soft sports socks. No shoes or slippers. Obviously just indoors though..
Reply:Was it worth it?
Reply:leave away
Reply:Ha Ha Ha
Reply:Suck it up. That %26#039;s the price you pay sometimes for looking hot. Wear flats, soft socks and soak those puppies when you get home!
Reply:soak feet in epsom salt and water. get massage, elevate legs
Reply:rub.a.thick,layer.of.vaseline.on.your.en...
Reply:It%26#039;s possible that you fractured the ball of your foot. You can get padded insoles at the drug store to put in your shoes, but you should wear sneakers for awhile, even at work, if possible. Good luck!
