Is it important to wear black leather shoes for a job interview?

I only have white sports shoes.

Is it important to wear black leather shoes for a job interview?
You should dress in a way that makes you look professionally competent for any job you apply for. The first impression in a job interview is important. If you look too casual, it may be taken as a sign you don%26#039;t take the job seriously. Black leather shoes are always a safe choice, but make sure whatever shoes you wear are clean and polished. And it is usually best to wear a jacket and tie, even if you will never wear them on the job.
Reply:If you are a guy, the answer is probably yes. It depends on the job, but any sort of white-collar office job, it%26#039;s pretty crucial to look like a professional.

If you have any question, do a little bit of investigating. Look at the website of the company (if they have one) or even pay them a very brief visit. Look at what the people there are wearing, and for your interview, dress *at least* that nicely, if not a little nicer.
Reply:Depends on the job. I%26#039;m an engineer - I wear running shoes all the time at work, but if someone walked into an interview wearing them, I%26#039;d think they were arrogant, like the interview didn%26#039;t matter enough to them to dress up.

Pick up a cheap pair at Wal-mart or something, they only have to last you a day.
Reply:It is important to wear shoes and not sneakers. They don%26#039;t have to be real leather or black. Go to Payless or WalMart and pick up a pair for $12 or less. A button down shirt with a tie is always best for an interview (a suit better, but if you don%26#039;t have one they are expensive).

Good Luck!
Reply:no,you can wear other shoes .it dosen%26#039;t matter
Reply:it really depends from the kind of job, but also from the rest of your look.... If you are a fully tatoooed and pierced guy, is not the shoes that will change the global impression.

the picture you give should be complete, e.g if black shoes , then also no funny t-shirt with strange messages and basebal cap or scappy jeans.

You are not telling which kind of job you are interviewing for, but if there is any kind of responsability bound to it, better be a bit formal (a few notches more formal over what will be your (or colleagues) daily clothing stile in the position).
Reply:Not really.

Most important is not to walk in with a one-eared elephant.
