Is it ok to be a guy and not be into any sports whatsoever? My cousins/bros all made fun of me on christmas?

Ok, well christmas is always exciting for me because a bunch of my cousins visit and everyone comes over, but Christmas wasn't as exciting for me this year. Many of my cousins and bros got sports-related stuff (games, jerseys, shoes, caps, baseballs mits and sports balls) I guess, there all supposed to be "cool"! Rolls eyes. My uncle were asking me about sports and I couldn't answer it, and then my girl cousin interjects and answers it, "Oh, oh he got me the one guy's jersey and new video game!" It was apparently an obvious sports question according to them and they were all in shock at how I didn't know but that my 11 year old girl cousin knew. Then my grandfather asked my mom 'why didn't u get Andy any sports clothes and stuff?" my mom said "Andy doesn't know anything about sports. He likes animals and National Geographic videos." It's true but sooo humiliating. I was happy to get my cheetah videos, but all my guy cousins and older bros made fun of me. "Wow," my aunt looked shocked

It is absolutely fine to be a guy and not be into sports. In fact, I think it is fantastic that you are more interested in a cheetah video than some silly sports.

You didn't mention your age, and it is harder at some ages than others to not fit in, but ultimately being your own person and following your own interests will be the most rewarding.

With your interests in animals, you might end up being a biologist, a naturalist, a zoologist or something fantastic like that!

I think being interested in animals is incredible!
Reply:there is nothing wrong with you. some people don't like sports and there is nothing wrong with that. each to his own. Good luck.
Reply:lol man its ok take it easy

i think one day you will be laughing at them !
Reply:Yes, it is okay not to be into sports but don't be a softy just because you aren't into sports. The friends I have that aren't into sports physically are softies and quite often act like sissies too. So, even though you aren't into sports, make sure to stay strong and fit so that you don't feel like you are on the outside looking in at the real men.
Reply:You need a self identity. If you have one.. then you need to have one.

You have permission to be yourself. If you are a little bit of a biology nerd it doesn't mean that anyone has the right to cut off your penis.

In 10 years when you have a college scholarship and they have football injuries they will be a little jealous. In 20 years when you have a good degree, a solid career, a great family and a stable lifestyle but they work in sales and don't.. they will look at you as a man and will "consider their manhoods cheap".

Fight the good fight. Keep your head down, keep your nose in the books, and don't be afraid to be your curious, smart, intelligent self.
Reply:When you are a biologist (or whatever) and they are selling insurance or used cars, you'll have the last laugh.....
